shrug-l: Developing GIS Help Files

Shuggers,

This list has been really quiet lately, must mean that people have work
again - glad to hear it! Either that, or nobody has anything to do, and
everyone is off at the beach still!

I have been given the task of developing the Help files for a ArcGIS
Extension my firm is wrapping up. I have never done anything like this
before, but am welcoming the challenge. From the reading I have done, it
sounds like the help pages are written in HTML, and then compiled into a
.CHM file for use within windows. What I want to know; is the free HTML
Help Workshop from MS as easy to use as they say it is, OR should I look to
use a 3rd party piece of software to create this, such as Adobe Robohelp, or
EC Manual and Help? The help and tutorials for the HTML Workshop from
Microsoft appears extensive and good, and I am leaning in that direction -
but want to compare it to the best 3rd party editor around - anybody have
any experience they can share with me on the subject.

Thanks kindly,

Bret.
