If you know anyone attending the APA National Planning Conference in Chicago in April and think they might be interested in the latest GIS tools for planners, please let them know about a series of four hands-on GIS workshops Esri is giving. The series is called Trends in GIS for Planners. Each one is 90 minutes long and will allow attendees to get hands-on exposure with the ArcGIS for Local Government web applications, Community Analyst, ArcGIS Online, Esri Maps for Office and CityEngine. The workshops are:

*         Economic Gardening & Development

*         GeoDesign

*         Designing, Analyzing & Visualizing in 3D

*         Citizen Engagement/Gov 2.0

http://www.planning.org/conference/program/schedule/?StartDateTime=1900-01-01&EndDateTime=1900-01-01&ActivityTypeIDs=30&ViewType=LIST

Esri is donating the workshops to APA but they are charging $25 per person per workshop. The workshops will qualify attendees for 1.5 AICP certification maintenance (CM) credits.

Adam
