Position: GIS Specialist (Multiple Openings)

Location: Atlanta, GA - Buckhead Area 

Start Dates: January 2016 

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience

 

NextGen Global Resources needs energetic, driven, professional people to
join their team and help build the future of the US' wireless networks. 

 

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist will be responsible for
supporting the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Manager in the ongoing
operations of the GIS program, and design and/or prepare graphic
representations of GIS data. The Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Specialist will work with the GIS program to create and maintain
geographically referenced data. The 

GIS Specialist must be able to support in operating and maintaining the GIS
system hardware and software. 

 

The GIS Specialist critical to the process of mapping suitable cell site
locations for a nationwide wireless network build. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

. Tests data for quality and completeness and creates reports on those
audits 

. Develops and tests automated output from GIS for a variety of purposes 

. Imports, integrates, updates, cleans, and validates data from multiple
sources 

. Writes reports and communicates results, including technology and data
recommendations 

. Develops system documentation and user manuals on GIS best practices and
functionality 

. Supports GIS Manager in onboarding and training new employees as necessary


 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

. 1-3+ years' experience with GIS 

. 1-3+ years' experience with ArcGIS 

. Experience managing multiple tasks, documents, etc. 

. Excellent data management skills - proficient with dealing with large
batches of data 

. Bachelor degree required
