The City of Raleigh Information Technology Department is looking for the right individual to join their award winning GIS team that supports a broad array of technology and applications. We are currently seeking a GIS Programmer/Analyst to join a team of innovative, creative, skilled, and fun people focused on advancing citizen facing services, enhancing internal services, and developing creative solutions.

The GIS team is comprised of staff supporting internal and external web sites, GIS desktop and web systems, enterprise GIS data, and other emerging technologies.

The IT Department plays a major role in the City's recognition for innovation.  In addition to numerous recognitions by Government Technology publications, the department has recently won awards for:

  *   2016 Next Century Cities Charles Benton Next Generation Engagement Award for proposing innovative programs that will use high-speed broadband to improve civic engagement and democratic participation.
  *   2016 Digital Edge 25 Award for our digital transformation initiative related to the development of Raleigh's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) mapping application.
  *   2016 North Carolina Innovation in Technology Award for Municipal Innovation.
