Job Description: -
A leading provider of software and services for the oil and gas pipeline industry is looking for an outstanding Senior
GIS Software Engineer to work in our Atlanta office. This position requires knowledge of GIS, ESRI ArcObjects and
Microsoft .NET Framework technologies. The successful candidate must also have strong communication and
collaboration skills as well as excellent coding habits.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Code new product features based on functional requirements and specifications
· Write unit tests to validate functionality
· Resolve product defects reported by product support and quality assurance teams
· Follow the established software development methodology
· Review the work of peers to ensure consistency and quality
· Provide status updates of work progress
· Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
· 3-4+ years of experience with C#
· Experience in coding desktop applications using Microsoft technologies
· Experience with ArcObjects, ArcGIS, and ability to design and construct extensions in ArcMap and/or
ArcGIS Server
· An understanding of coordinate systems and projection systems, and the ability to work with, and
program against Esri Geodatabases
· Experience in writing software that runs against either Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual skills and a solid working knowledge of object-oriented
concepts and software patterns
· Ability to collaborate with other team members in the execution of large-scale projects


PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Knowledge of Xamarin Forms
· Experience in front-end web development technologies
· Esri ArcGIS JavaScript API experience
