shrug-l: need help joining tables

Greetings all.  I have the Leon County tax parcels shapefile I downloaded from the property appraiser's web site.  I also downloaded the sales data tables (they are in .csv format).  I cannot get them to join in ArcGIS Pro on the parcel ID.  I have tried importing to an Excel file and exporting to different formats but nothing has worked.  Any advice out there?
