Subject: [ICRT] Dell offers 99-cent recycling

Greetings and sorry for multiple postings--

Take advantage of a limited time offer from Dell Computer to recycle up =
to
three used computers (actually, 3 shipped units up to 50 lbs. per unit) =
for
99 cents each!! Check it out at
http://www.dell.com/us/en/dhs/topics/segtopic_dell_recycling.htm
<http://www.dell.com/us/en/dhs/topics/segtopic_dell_recycling.htm> and
scroll down a bit for the first item in the left hand column. Lots of =
terms
and conditions to check out, and a few hoops to jump through, but why =
not
take advantage of one of the best deals in town. If more people respond =
to
this than to their $15+ recycling, it will demonstrate the demand for
inexpensive end-of-life equipment disposition. Share this information =
with
your lists.

Dell and the Computer TakeBack Campaign are running neck and neck in the =
week
leading up to Dell's July 18th annual meeting. Only days after a report
detailing Dell's use of prison labor for e-waste recycling, the company =
ended
its relationship with UNICOR. (see http://www.svtc.org)

After the Campaign launched its Hard Drive Across the West in Seattle on =
July
10, promoting producer responsibility in several western cities en route =
to
Austin, Dell's PR machine ginned up extensive media work and stakeholder
outreach in all of those cities to blunt the force of our stunt. It =
appears
Dell has only announced this 99 cent deal publicly to the media in =
Denver,
CO, the site of our next campaign action.

Find out all the details at www.computertakeback.com
<http://www.computertakeback.com/> .=20

If you take advantage of Dell's 99 cent deal, drop us a line to
info@computertakeback.com. We'd like to know how many folks take =
advantage of
e-waste recycling when the price is right.=20
