They are asking that we help in getting this draft report out to the =
widest
audience as possible.  It is quite interesting.  It is 148 pages (DON'T
PRINT)! BUT WAIT, the Executive Summary is only 2 pages and the =
Concluding
Remarks on Findings in only 2 pages and well worth a quick read, esp. =
page 13
on the need for clear goals by gov't policy makers.

Draft Product Stewardship Opportunities within the Automotive Industry =
Report
now available

The draft report prepared by Five Winds International for the Minnesota
Office of Environmental Assistance under a grant from US EPA is now =
available
for public review and comment. The report incorporates contributions =
from
many individuals and organizations who were interviewed directly by Five
Winds during the course of the project. However, it is important to =
ensure
wide distribution of the report and solicit input from individuals and
organizations that were not interviewed as part of the data collection =
phase
of the report.

The OEA and Five Winds International will accept written comments on the
draft report until July 25, 2003 at 5 pm. Please forward any comments on =
the
draft report or the project to Garth Hickle at =

and Jennifer Hall at=20
j.hall@fivewinds.com. The final report is scheduled to be available at =
the
end of July, 2003.
