Great video on highly reactive metal sodium disposal before the days of RCRA.

Subject: FW: sodium disposal video
I get excited when I get to see a video of a gram of sodium reacting
violently with water. This one trumps that by many, many orders of magnitude.
Ever wonder what chemical disposal was like before the EPA? Check out this
video of 10,000 pounds of water reactive sodium metal entering Lake Lenore in
Eastern Washington in 1947. It's best with sound too, so you can hear the
narrator and the patriotic music running in the background.
