A new vacancy opportunity has been posted on the DEP Careers website<http://www.dep.state.fl.us/careers/find_job.htm> and the DLE Careers<http://www.dep.state.fl.us/law/careers/vacancies.htm> web page. Upon closure of the advertising period, each application will be reviewed, with preference being given to applicants in the following order:

1.     Transfer or reassignment requests,
2.     Internal promotions, then

3.     External applicants.

The process will advance from step-to-step as the recruiting manager and bureau chief determine the needs of the position and the best interests of the agency.  Appointment is contingent upon the successful completion of medical, psychological and drug screenings, and a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
