The Office of Technology and Information Services has been working to improve security and align Oracle Forms password requirements with DEP Directive 390<https://www.fldepnet.org/system/files/Office-of-Technology-and-Information-Services/governing-documents/DEP-390.pdf>. The security improvements will be applied to the Production Oracle Forms environment after 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18.
Oracle Forms is used to access such waste applications as: COMET, CSQG, FIEST/FDM, PA, STCM and WACS.
The following new Oracle Forms password requirements will affect both internal and external users:
- Users will be required to reset their passwords every 60 days
- Users will be forced to use strong passwords that:
o Are at least eight characters in length
o Contain both upper and lower case letters and include either numbers or special characters
o Do not consist of dictionary words in any language
- Users may not re-use the same password combination for 24 intervals
On Friday, Aug. 19, upon logging into Oracle Forms, you may be asked to change your password immediately or be given a message showing the number of days you have before the current password expires. If prompted to change the password, follow the prompts.
If prompted with the number of days remaining before the password expires, click OK on the notification to continue logging in. If you would like to change your password early, click the Change Password button on the Enterprise Applications screen. Type your old password, and then your new password in the New Password and Verify Password fields. When complete, click the Set Password button.
