GIS Users,
ESRI recently released a new version of ArcGIS Explorer (Build 900).
Unfortunately, installation of this build causes imagery to break within
ArcMap. At this time we recommend that you not install the new release. The
aforementioned error has been documented and submitted to ESRI who have
informed us that they will have it taken care of with the next patch.
We have documented a fairly simple, but time-consuming workaround to the
problem:
To repair ArcMap installations, go to Control Panel -> Add or Remove
Programs. Hit Change/Remove on ArcGIS Desktop and then select the Repair
option. This will go through and restore any previously lost functionality.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
