SENIOR GEOGRAPHER, REGULATORY INFO MANAGEMENT DIVISION, ENV RESOURCE
REGULATION DEPARTMENT, WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT. WORK SITE: WEST PALM
BEACH. The salary range is $47,548.80 min., $65,187.20 mid., $82,825.60 max.
DATE OPENED: 1/23/03. A senior level professional position responsible for
the automation, maintenance, analysis, and display of geographic (spatial)
data and oversight of GIS projects in support of the Environmental Resource
Regulation Department. Assists Regulatory GIS end-users, other Departments,
and external agencies, as needed, with advanced GIS related work. Proficient
knowledge of: GIS (ArcGIS, ARC/INFO, ArcVIew), Remote Sensing (ERDAS, ENVI)
and Relational Database Management such as ORACLE, MS SQL and ACCESS.
Advanced programming knowledge of ArcGIS (Visual Basic), ARC/INFO (AML),
Arcview (Avenue), SQL, and a proven track record of GIS project management.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrate
the ability to initiate and coordinate the development of improved GIS tools
to facilitate greater efficiency of professional and technical staff through
the development of geographic database applications. A Bachelor's degree in
Geography or related field with four (4) to twelve (12) years qualifying
experience and a minimum of four (4) years experience using ArcGIS,
ARC/INFO, and ArcView. Knowledge of District regulatory rules and policies
