I think ACAD 2000 came with ACAD Map. If you go to the Map pull down, at the
bottom choose Tools, then import. In this command there are many different
file formats that can be imported, including shape files. If your ACAD
doesn't have a Map pull down menu, let me know, it could be Map only comes
with Land Development or later ACAD releases.

I have converted a mdb file into a shape but can not
open it in CAD (Autodesk 2000). The help command
tells me to import it but when I try to do it, the
file is not there. If it can not be opened as a shp,
can it be changed to a dxf? I would appreciate any
solutions.
