I have two questions for our CAD experts out there (I am not!).

1) Can you tell me if there is a way to identify
(view) the coordinate system of a dataset that is being brought into
AutoCAD either by the "Data: Connect to" or Import tool? It seems that
you have to assign a coordinate system to your map but what if you the
data's projection?

2) Can shapefiles imported into a drawing in AutoCAD
be edited? I was told that only the "connect to" method would provide
read-only access to data layers that I am sharing.

Thanks all and hope you have had a great start to the New Year! Kristal
