Major Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of
processes that require the use of GIS software to produce and maintain data
in a GIS environment at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.  Specific
duties include responding to requests for on demand maps and data; creating,
editing and maintaining geographical data and GIS web applications;
assisting and training users with geographical information needs; installing
GIS software; trouble shooting and supporting end users and servers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree and three years experience, or Bachelor's degree and one
year experience.  Study should be in the field of geography, computer
science, computer information systms or related field.  Prefer four years of
GIS experience and two years development experience using Java, VB.NET or
Adobe Flex.

Salary Range: $50,553 - 60,663

Conditions of Employment:

Typical office hours apply, however subject to work at other times and
emergency call back during urgent situations.  Final candidates must pass a
pre-employment drug-screening test.  During the selection process,
candidates may be asked to take a skills test, and/or participate in other
assessments. This position requires the ability to obtain a City Driving
Permit.  Certain criminal convictions would deny unescorted access
privileges and therefore preclude from employment.
