Hi All
This information was just forwarded to me from Chris Rietow of the Apalachee Regional Planning Council. There is an EPA program that can be used to reimburse local governments for ...releases from transportation accidents, illegally dumped wastes, tire fires, and contamination from illegal drug labs. Incidents involving releases of oil or oil-related products are not covered, unless the oil is mixed with a hazardous substance. The EPA program is called Local Government Reimbursement (LGR) and can reimburse local government up to $25,000 per incident.

The LGR web site is http://www.epa.gov/oem/content/lgr/. A flyer and application form are attached.

Subject: FW: Funding Info

Everyone,

Refer to attachments. I called EPAs LGR Hotline and was told the program is viable and there is funding available for Meth Lab cleanup operations. Please pass this information on to local governments.
